MSRs are used for shielding applications that are very sensitive to magnetic sources of interference. Our VACOSHIELD® rooms are a proven solution that has become an industry standard.

Shielding of highly sensitive medical and scientific magnetic field sensors from external magnetic interference fields.
Typically, our standard shielding rooms are used to shield MEG (Magnetoencephalography) devices that allow measurement of brain signals and are used, for example, for epilepsy patients.
Among other applications, the VACOSHIELD® solution is also increasingly used to shield sensors based on optically pumped magnetometer (OPM) technology.
Values determined on real VACOSHIELD® Advanced 3x4 m (MUMETALL®-Aluminum-MUMETALL®). The shielding factor of an MSR depends significantly on the amplitude of magnetic interference fields.
Our MSRs are qualified by default at B=1 µTRMS, at higher flux densities the shielding factors are significantly higher (experimentally tested up to B≤100 µTRMS).
